Here it is!
It’s here at last!
I’m not going to lie, guys, the past few hours have been out of this world. I have never felt so much adrenaline and panic coursing through my veins in my life. There was much cursing, a lot of praying and moments of downright madness. I kept wanting to rush to the kitchen for a drink but THERE WASN’T TIME!!!
So, I do apologise that this is arriving 26 minutes after 5 pm, but I actually had to reorganise the magazine after I uploaded it, as the pages were not in the correct order.
But, with no further ado, I give you The Paperbook Collective.
Want to know about the name? Read the magazine to find out more!!
Here is the PDF version for your perusal:
The Paperbook Collective_Issue One2013
And of course, the online version published through ISSUU:
The Paperbook Collective_Issue One 2013
Please let me know if either of these links are not working, I am brand new to this so I am working on a wing and a prayer right now. It am also in the process of embedding the magazine onto my blog, so stay tuned.
I will be back very shortly with more details, but right now I’m going into the kitchen, cracking the gin and pouring myself a drink the size that no one has ever taken on and survived.
I hope I have done your work justice.
Cheers everyone.
Jayde.
Having a look at it now.
I hope you like it!
Nice layout.
Thanks!
Just downloaded the pdf. Looks BRILLIANT. I think you deserve more than one gin. Congrats. Humungous effort.
I’m so glad you like it Andrew 🙂
Also I did have more than one gin. My head’s a bit heavy this morning but it’s worth it!
Yay, I am so happy! Here’s to a million more issues!
Thanks Oloriel, I’m so happy you like it! I agree, here’s to a million more issues 🙂
Looks excellent! Very eclectic. I’ll have a thorough read of it later. Have you considered, after about five or six issues, compiling them into a proper book? Lulu’s worth checking out for that sort of thing.
Great idea! I have been pondering where to take this, so I will check out your suggestion. And see how the magazine goes, of course 🙂
Congratulations! You must have worked so hard on this one. Sharing!
Thanks so much for sharing!

Jayde-Ashe over at The Paperbook Blog has launched her own literary magazine. It looks brilliant and I can’t wait to read it. Please go give her site a visit and download the magazine while you’re there. She’s also looking for contributors for the next issue. Details inside.
Jayde, it turned out absolutely beautiful! You have done an amazing job getting this all together and up and running. And that font on the cover? Are you kidding me? That is incredible. A whole bottle of gin to you my friend.
Thanks, the cover was stressing me out but in the end it came together quite organically. Although the shape of my artline pen is imprinted on my hand 🙂
Worth it!

I saw your post earlier and am just not getting back to it. I’d like to say that this has to be one of the most awesome, most inspirational things I’ve seen a blogger do here. Your magazine is epic, the layout is exquisite, and the obvious hard work that you put into this I’d say paid off nicely! Congratulations, Jayde, and much success to you with this endeavor.

Well done on this! Keep up the good work – but beware of burnout. 🙂
Thanks!! Ill look out for it 🙂
Jay makes a good point, Jayde. It would be better to put out a Paperbook Collective issue 2-4 times a year than for it to become a nightmarish deadline for you. This should always be something you LOVE to do.
A good point John, luckily I am at a point in my life where I have time on my hands. And despite the stresses that accompany producing a magazine, it is something I absolutely adore doing. Isn’t there a quote that goes: ‘if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life’ 🙂
Visiting here from Leya’s blog and so glad I made the trip 🙂 Congratulations on the first issue! Looks fantastic – now to read up on the contributors.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will submit something for issue two!!
I’m thinking about it, yes! I’ll also pass the link to my writers group. I hope that at least one of us will send you something 🙂
Excellent well I hope you do decide to submit! Still two weeks until submissions close 🙂
