Well…just over 24 hours to go.
I am so excited and nervous that I am certain I won’t sleep tonight, although that might be a good thing in terms of performing the final touches. Everything is coming together very nicely I think, the magazine seems to be achieving the fusion of handmade and technological that I was aiming for. Fingers crossed.
The Facebook page is going well, for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet click the icon below to check it out. It’s a great way of reaching the non-blogging community, meaning the magazine – and your work – will be reaching a much wider audience. I will be launching the magazine simultaneously on the Facebook page, so feel free to share the link from there to your Facebook friends.
Under the wonderful advice of Michelle I will be publishing the online version of the magazine on the website ISSUU, where you will be able to flick through it in all its glory. There will be a link to it published on my blog.
The PDF version will be available straight from my blog, so you can download and save it to your computer, to peruse at leisure. Preferably with your drink of choice, please. I’ll be having a wine. Or a gin. Or a cider. Or…Thursday could be a big night.
I also want to take this opportunity to say a huge THANKYOU to everyone who has submitted work for issue one. You have willingly jumped on board an entirely new and unproven project, and have been incredibly understanding as I tackle this learning curve. You have all been wonderful to deal with and I can only hope that I do your creative contributions proud in the magazine.
Here is a very tiny sneaky peak into what you will find in the magazine. It is filled with everything from artwork to poetry to creative non-fiction to short stories to photography. The work in it is extremely unique and varied, so I am certain that there is something for pretty much anyone in there.
And it’s free, for god’s sake. Check it out.
Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.
