Good morning everyone, (or, good last night, for a lot of you) today is the 1st of September, and you know what that means!
That’s right! The Paperbook Collective Issue Two comes out TODAY!!
(wooo, yeaaa, hand clapping, various cheering)
It’s been a huge week for me, mainly due to the fact that my parents made a terrible decision about 21 years go and had my brother within a week of my sisters birthday. (22nd and 29th of August). Height of rudeness, wouldn’t you agree?
These self same parents also decided to go on the trip of a lifetime to Europe this year, scheduling their return on the last Tuesday of this month, meaning we had a 4 hour round trip to pick them up from the airport (monsters)*.
Oh, and guess what. Australia decided to have Father’s Day today. Doesn’t anyone know I have a magazine to produce?
Finally, and most importantly of all, these monster parents are DRAGGING me kicking and screaming** down to the beautiful wineries of Margaret River today, to celebrate sister/brother birthday/return from Europe/father’s day. They’ll be raising a glass to my magazine too, if they know what’s good for them.
Anyway, the reason I’m telling you this is that I am not sure when we will return (and what state of inebriation I’ll be in). All that is left to do is click the PUBLISH button and the September Issue goes live. I just don’t know when I’ll be doing it. It could be 5pm (WA time) or 6pm, or 7…ok, hopefully not that late.
The great thing is that for a lot of you, the 1st of September will be just beginning. You will be just waking up, walking bleary eyed to the kitchen, putting on the coffee, switching on your computer and BAM! There it will be, in all its Paperbooky glory.
But just in case you need something to tide you over, here is a great review of Issue One by the lovely ladies over at wePoets Show It. These girls are showcasing creative work on their blog everyday, so it’s well worth taking a look.
Find their review of the August Issue here.
This is another great example of the blogging community working together so do pop over and support them!
See you in a few hours everyone, I’ll be the girl who’s somewhat worse for wear.
Here’s a lovely picture of Spring to get you in the Springy mood, and if you click on it, it will take you to our Facebook page. Click it. Go on. You know you want to.
Happy Spring everyone!
* They aren’t really monsters. They are the best parents a girl could ask for.
** I won’t be kicking and screaming, in fact I’ll be the first one in the car.
