Tanka: River Sarca

A gorgeous Tanka poem by Bastet, a recent contributor to The Paperbook Collective.
I think this is a lovely example of what can be submitted for Issue Five ~ The Culture Issue. Here she is sharing two cultures with us; the Japanese culture through her poem and the Italian culture through her photograph.
Some Saturday inspiration for us all!

Tanka

River Sarca

pleasant stream no more
your waters grown brown and swift
attract no lazy ducks
your voice is a rumbling growl
whilst exiling trespassers

This is what the River looks like today!
