Did You Miss Me?

Hello to all my lovely fellow bloggers and bookaholics…did you miss me? Did you notice I was gone?

I missed you.

Circumstances beyond my control have dragged me, kicking and screaming, away from my computer for over a week. It has been a long, difficult string of days but I am glad to shout from the rooftops…I’M BAAAAACK!

Amongst the dull obligations of my past week I have managed to sneak in a few good books, and one absolutely terrible one. Have you ever had to live through the experience of reading a completely terrible book by an author you love? Especially when it is a pre-pre-prequel to a trilogy that you adore? I was so shattered upon finishing this book that I immediately Googled some reviews, wondering if I had somehow skipped over the part which made it a story rather than a random collection of character descriptions. Alas, the only thing I learnt from other book reviews was all the terrible things I had missed whilst reading.

Molto deprimente.

Very depressing.

I may well review this book at a later stage, although I feel guilty that I haven’t reviewed any of this mystery authors great books. And she has written some pearlers. So maybe I should start with them before lurching into the abomination of literature that her latest offering entails.

Fear not, I have some great books coming up for review. Stand by.

I am also going to make a concerted effort today to visit my favourite blogs, I am sorry that I have been AWOL. In saying that, I am looking forward to visiting each one like it’s Christmas Day, because I know there will be many great posts all wrapped up nicely and neatly just waiting for me to delve in and scatter wrapping paper across WordPress like there’s no tomorrow.

It’s good to be home.

You were missed! Glad you’re back! I noticed you posted a review already. I haven’t had a chance to read it but look forward to it.

By the way, I finally ordered the version of Alice you recommended. Thanks!
